Digital collection, Writing/with Archives  Issue 1, is grounded in the Arabic concept of ḥurma — sanctity, inviolability, sacred honour, and protected relation — the collection approaches archival writing as a practice of carrying, tending, and preserving what has been entrusted as sacred. In dialogue with Indigenous archival frameworks such as Traditional Knowledge (TK) Labels, the collection asks how writing about archives can circulate while remaining attentive to questions of access, permission, care, and relation.

The contributions will take different forms and may be open-source, (un)translated, time-sensitive, or encrypted — allowing the collection itself to become a space for thinking about how archival knowledge is shared, held, and protected.
